It’s that time of the year again and like everyone else, I am taking stock. For the most part it has been an eventful and fulfilling year. Now more than ever the prevailing conditions in our country have given me cause to focus on what is important.
2019 has been a year of active participation in causes that directly affect the average Nigerian. I dedicated a lot of my energy to fighting for those disenfranchised by the system, victims of uniformed brutality and other social injustices. This has been my drive and will lead on into the new year.
Yes, this came at a cost. I got to work on only so much music this year but looking back, I still think it was worth it. Seeing the smiles on peoples faces when their concerns have been attended to was worth it.
I am grateful to God for the will and strength to do all I have done this year and grateful to the great police officers who help in seeing justice done. Finally, I would like to thank my fans and the millions of Nigerians within and outside the country for the love and support you continue to show me.
2020 is around the corner so hold your breath just a little longer. There’s new chart-topping music and electric videos coming to you from me.
